Application Guidelines

Applications for joint usage and research workshops at KERNEL must be submitted electronically via the Google Form below. Prior to submitting your application, please consult with a KERNEL faculty member.

Application for Joint Usage

Applicants may apply for research conducted in the underground laboratory on rare phenomena, or for broader research related to rare phenomena.

Regarding the use of equipment or underground laboratory space at this Center
Please contact us in advance regarding your desired period of use, as well as the underground laboratory space or equipment you wish to use (e.g., Ge detectors, underground vehicles, underground network, pure water, or pure air).

 The experimental spaces available for application in FY2026 are limited to parts of the following facilities:

  ▸ Clean experimental space
   Floor Area = 5m × 5.5 m = 27.5 m2  Ceiling Height = 3.5 m
  ▸ Clean experimental space 2 (CryoLab)
   Floor Area = 4.8 m × 8.6 m = 41.28 m2   Ceiling Height = 3.5 m


Application for Workshops

Applications are accepted for research workshops focusing on specific themes related to the development of ultra-low radioactivity techniques and research in the Universe and elementary particle physics.
